I’m Emma, your stereotypically proud Mancunian!
I took up running a decade ago when I decided to run the London marathon for the British Lung Foundation in memory of my father. I like many novice runners, didn’t train enough, hated every step and hung up my trainers for several years.
Four years ago I found myself in need of some headspace and went out for a jog, I ran for about a mile, and as soon as I got back I wanted to go again and the rest as they say is history.
I discovered the joy of running with friends more recently. I found it a great way to unwind and destress, and a nice environment to vent in, and always left feeling in a far better place than when I laced up.
I am excited to start this little group and hopefully give something back to a community that’s given me so much and hopefully in a small way do a bit of good in the city I love!
Join me for a run…
