HIIIIII! I’m Jess. So my name is at the top of this website because I created Run Talk Run and I’m very proud of that. I didn’t necessarily mean to create Run Talk Run, it happened as a result of hitting a very dark place with my depression in the summer of 2017, when I desperately needed someone to run and chat with. You see, running and chatting is my outlet from depression, anxiety and bulimia, and I can owe much of my current self-esteem to the joys that running has brought to my life.
I like long-distances, and I like running them slowly. Anything less than 6 miles isn’t enough time for me to fully process whats going on in this head of mine! I used to be ashamed of that, but now I am proud and I own who I am.
I’ve been in London for about 5 years now (eek) and don’t see any reason why I’d want to leave. Run Talk Run is genuinely my world, along with my obsession for diet coke, strength training and my gorgeous man, George. When I get nervous/socially anxious my eyes do this really weird flickering twitchy thing, and apparently I snore pretty loudly and my running stride is too long. I’m not perfect, and nor are you. But I think that’s really cool. Hope to meet you at a run soon!
